Sitting Pretty

Maddy is changing so fast these days!
Here's a pic at 2 months (in the bumbo) compared to her sitting up playing now (5 1/2 months). She is so fun - rolling, sitting, talking, giving her open mouth kisses, and laughing tons!

Rolling, rolling, rolling

I tell Beau all the time how Maddy rolls across the room before I know it..yet she'll never do it for him. Today I caught her on the move on video. Yes that is spit up...that's how these Schmidt girls "roll."


And here is a video of the infamous scream. She talks like this all day. Needless to say, our pacifier needs to be one of those that says "mute button."

Sisterly love

I have prayed a lot that Brynne and Madelyn would love each other deeply. I fretted before Maddy was here that Brynne would not feel replaced. Praise Jesus....Brynne LOVES her sister. She is beginning to realize just how fun it is...yet the fun hasn't even begun. We have definitely had our times of jealousy..and I'm sure there will be more. I pray fervently that these two will find a best friend in one another and daily give God thanks for the sister He has blessed them with. I always wanted a sister! Here are a few of the firsts they have shared together...

Sea World

The first week in june we vacationed in sea world. Brynne had the time of her life! We rarely took pics because we were on the go...but here are a few!

The last day of swim lessons is "water safety day," where the put the kids in a boat and teach them how to float if the boat capsizes. HILARIOUS!!! Will and Brynne screamed through that adventure together...not again please!

3 months old

Madelyn is 3 months old now! She has become quite vocal with her baby gibberish and loves to laugh and giggle. Brynne has a great time showing her off to friends and playing the big sister role. Poor Beau is not going to get a word in after a few years...

Spring is here!

The girls and I headed to the Arboretum with some friends to celebrate the beginning of spring! It's gorgeous there..all the tulips were in bloom. It was "mommy and me" Monday, so Brynne was able to enjoy face painting, dancing, and a petting zoo!
It's hard to believe Madelyn is almost 6 weeks old!
